The PGA Tour kicks off its 2010 season Jan. 7-10 with the SBS Championship at the Plantation course at Kapalua Resort.
Formerly known as the Mercedes-Benz Championship, the SBS Championship field is made up exclusively of winners of 2009 PGA Tour events.
Among those expected to be competing for a share of the $5.6 million purse are: Defending champion Geoff Ogilvy, Sean O'Hair, Zach Johnson, Heath Slocum, Kenny Perry, Lucas Glover, Retief Goosen, Angel Cabrera, Stewart Cink.
Past winners include Geoff Ogilvy, Ernie Els, Sergio Garcia, Jim Furyk, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson.
Fans may purchase tickets at a discount until Jan. 3. "Any Day" tickets good for Jan. 6, 7 or 8 are $15 and go up to $20 when purchased at the gate. "Any Day" tickets for the weekend are $20, $30 at the gate.
Season passes for the week are available for $55 ($80 at the gate), and practice-round tickets for Monday and Tuesday are $15 ($20), as are tickets for Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. The final two rounds are $20 daily, $30 at the gate. Children under 17 are free when accompanied by a ticket-holding adult. For ticket-purchasing info, call (877) 772-5425.
