Wailua Golf Course is situated along the shores of the Pacific Ocean with mountains also being visible in the background. The front nine holes are fairly flat and wide open, while the back nine holes feature several elevation changes. Many coconut and pine trees, as well as numerous sand bunkers, are found throughout the course. The greens are undulating and well-protected, making them very challenging. Locals consider it one of the best municipal courses in the state.

Wiailia was exactly what I was looking for to play after several months away from golf during the winter months at home in Wisconsin.

It was my Hawaii golf experience and it was all I ever wanted. Not a bad lie anywhere on the course. Employees were very friendly as well as the local golfers. I got the most for my dollar anywhere. Don't forget to get you Brown Bag Lunch at Rosa's hotdog stand after you 18 holes. Good driving range and putting greens also.

The rates shown by this website must be the "kamaaina (residents)" rates - what are they for non-Kauai residents currently? I have played this course many times, and the layout definitely makes it one of the best municipals anywhere in the U. S. Attesting to this is the fact that it has hosted the USGA Mid-Amateur Championships two times. If you are looking for a great value for your money AND a challenging yet enjoyable golf, be sure to play here, even if you have to settle for an afternoon round.

Beautiful views of the ocean on many of the holes. Tough to get tee times, since most locals play this course. Also, morning rounds can be 5 hours or more due to slow foursomes, fivesomes, etc.

This is an 18 hole course, in spite of what this website says.

It's worth it for the views, and is the best price on the island.
