The classic design of Maui Nui Golf Club combines different elements including reachable holes that face each cardinal point with strong prevailing winds that reward smart play for a layout that is both fair and challenging. The layout wanders through the foothills of Haleakula, providing subtle elevation changes as well as views of the ocean and the surrounding West Maui Mountains and the volcanic atoll Molokini. The golf course has a variety of holes that will have you hitting downwind, upwind, and with both left and right crosswinds. A few lakes and ponds also come into play. Maui Nui Golf Club's layout features generous fairways and large greens. The difficulty of the course depends heavily on the speed of the prevailing winds that day. Golfers will be greatly rewarded by keeping the ball in play and good putting and chipping skills.

Worst service at any golf course I have played ever anywhere from the Buggy Boys course is average. We have been to this course for 3 years previously and we will never be back.

How can it take 45 minutes to get a cart out to replace a break down. Rude and threating too. I would give no star if I cold

From tee to green and everything inbetween (bunkers, ponds, and rough), this golf course is in great shape. The driving range hitting stations were a bit rough, but had good value ($4 for a "medium" sized basket of range balls), and has a good chipping/bunker practice area adjoining it. The course, itself, is fair to all levels of golfers...challenging, but not punishing, and fairly priced by Hawaii visitor standards. I tried it and liked it and plan on returning again!

A cut above average. Par 3s are all dull holes, but the wind and some of the longer holes make the round more interesting.

There wasn't anything special or terrible about this course. It was pretty average. Not in great shape, but still in acceptable condition. A few very nice ocean views, and some very challenging holes on the course. Staff isn't all that friendly though and are a little more up-tight than some of the other courses around the island.

The staff was very helpful and Jimmy in the Proshop went out of way to get me a tee time. Course is well kept and the greens true. I enjoyed my outings very.
