A Duffer went to Hawaii from Hillsboro, Oregon for our post 60th anniversary and played 9 holes with my son in law at amazing Kukuiolono golf course for the price of golf club rentals, cart, green fee for two persons, Great course except for #6 hole that I lost my first ball. Thank for nice weather when we played and nice view from the top of hill and park.

A hidden gem, as the guide books would say.
No tee times reserved, club and cart rental are very reasonable. The course is a bit less than championship caliber, but fun and challenging. You will be fooled on the greens.....I promise.

    Played 9/4/17.
10 bucks to play now. 10 bucks to rent clubs and appears they have several bags of Callaway clubs on hand.
cart fee is 10 bucks and a pull cart is 3.
    Cash only. No reservations taken.
Course was really brown this time of year but was still fun to play.

What a find and what a gem! This par 36 course with two par 5s and two par 3s was perfect for my week-long stay in nearby Poipu Kauai 13-19 July 2014. The course was only 20 minutes from the Point at Poipu where we were staying and was so inexpensive, my wife played two out of the four rounds and enjoyed it. She feels so badly about her game that she refuses to play if the greens fees are too much and her threshold is pretty cheap. We loved the laid back atmosphere and the openness of the course - no water hazards and just a little bit of sand and a couple of natural areas. The Bermuda fairways were brownish but my course in Maryland is usually worse than this in mid-July. Greens were in good shape but took some getting used to.

If you anticipate playing serious golf on a resort quality course, don't bother. But if you want fantastic views and the opportunity to enjoy a low cost tune up and have a fun time at minimal cost, this is one of the best deals anywhere. And you only pay a small cart fee for repetitive rounds. Manage your expectations and you can have a fine time. Carnivores, be sure check out the Korean barbecue and short ribs in the little bar/restaurant; they are delicious!

As someone who spends very little time on the golf course and could NEVER in a million years, justify paying the ridiculous fee's charged by other places, I like it a lot. Since I live in Kalaheo and earn a locals wage it is affordable, fun entertainment.

I really enjoyed playing here. If you're up for a challenge then this course is not for you. However if you want to play a round and take your mind off of everything else, then this course is perfect! No dress code + cheap rates = Good times and no worries!! If you want a laid back environment then you have to play here.

This is an old and wonderful golf course. People may grumble about 'you get what you pay for' but this is a very reasonably priced course that will offer lots of challenges to keep your game sharp. Definitely worth a visit

Remember the saying "get what you pay for". A marginally maintained, relatively flat track with some interesting layouts but not executed well. Often very windy as it sits up high on a bluff near the ocean. Cheap fees and it reflects this. good warm up 9 on a calmer day. If you don't expect much, you won't be disappointed. Nice views of the water. Fairways and greens are thin. Relatively easy, not many hazards. Not much else to say.
